Used Sports Cars | 2010 Ford Edge Review

The 2010 Ford Edge is a small pickup SUV that comes in four trim levels: Limited, SE, SEL, and Sport. All the latest generation conventional features are installed in all trims. Among these trim levels, SE is the basic trim but even that arrives with antilock, full power accessories, stability control, 17-inch alloy wheels, and air-conditioning. Apart from the features in SE trim, those who want more luxurious features have to look for other trims such as Limited and SEL trims. Like the Limited trim, the Sport trim has faux suede upholstery, special body design, and larger 20-inch alloy wheels.

A 3.5-liter V6 engine powers the 2010 Edge that churns out 265 horsepower. The car comes with optional all-wheel drive that has a standard six-speed automatic transmission. It automatically enhances the efficiency by using a cruise control system with all-wheel drive. The power of between 50-60 percent is automatically sidetracked to the back wheels to wipe out wheels spin.

Usually, the seats in third-row are becoming popular in all the latest generations minivans. But, the 2010 Edge lacks this feature and doesn't offer the optional 3rd row seats; however, it comes with a spacious 2nd row seat. To enhance the space of the cargo, the back seats can also be folded or reclined forward. In comparison to its close rivals, storage capacity of the Edge is somewhat low. Even though ergonomically and functionally, it has sound planning, the cabin requires a good amount of interior decoration to catch up with its rivals. Unfortunately, the low quality of the components in interior section of 2010 Ford Edge is fairly visible.

Performance Sports Cars | The Coolest Cars of 2010

I am an avid car lover to say the very least. Every year when new cars are released I am so excited about it. I actually know which cars will be released far before the time that they ever are. I read lots of magazines and I also love to keep up on the concept cars that companies are developing. So without further a due here are my top three favorite cars of 2010.

#1) 2010 Audi S4: This super charged sports car is beast! I have always loved Audi ever since I purchased the A8 in 06. But they have truly outdone themselves with this one. Great gas mileage, cool design, and plenty of horse power. What more is there to say?

#2) 2010 Honda Accord: As always Honda has made the top 3 in my list for a various number of reasons. But the main ones are the obvious. They always lead the pack in terms of gas mileage, safety, and overall performance. Nuff said.

#3) 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid: I will admit that my opinion on this vehicle may be just a bit biased, but I am really proud of Ford for stepping up to the plate and making a vehicle that can compete with the cars that the foreign car companies have been making for eons. It is a great car and that's all there is too it. If you don't believe me then check it out for yourself.

I know that these cars may not be the ones you were expecting to see on the list but I had to take safety and gas mileage into account. If you want a list of my top sports cars, Well I guess I will just have to write it. Not a bad idea. I will get right to it!

Performance Sports Cars | 2010 Nissan Fairlady Z Roadster

The Japanese automaker Nissan has announced that the new Fairlady Z Roadster is already on sale in the sports car's home market. Intended to be a convertible from day one, Nissan's engineers designed the 370Z in a way that the loss of structural rigidity and added weight of a retractable canvas roof would have no effect whatsoever on the drop top Z car's performance. Their goal was to blend the pure exhilaration and sporting appeal of the Z34 and seamlessly combine it with the excitement of open air driving by offering the same high performance power plant and curvaceous body lines that make the fixed roof Nissan 370Z such a desirable sports car.

Just like the Fairlady Z Coupe, the new Z Roadster features a shorter wheelbase and an increased track to make the sports car more nimble while at the same time keeping the weight down. The same 3.7 Liter V6 engine that propels the standard vehicle to the tune of 330 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque also powers the Nissan 370Z Roadster. By combining the high performance VQ37VHR with the Z34's dynamic chassis, Nissan has instilled the 370Z Roadster with remarkably high levels of acceleration and handling, while providing a quiet and comfortable interior even with the top down.

It is a tall order for a design team to build a convertible that looks just as nice with the top up as it does down. In most cases it looks like a vehicle's designers decided to focus on only one of the drop head's personalities; either by leaving the car with a bulky looking roofline or like there is just too much junk in the trunk when it is retracted. However thanks to careful planning and some very intuitive foresight, the hamburger logo has been able to once again avoid turning one of their premier sports cars into a cow of a convertible with the Nissan 370Z Roadster.

Performance Sports Cars | The 2010 Hyundai Sonata

Offering a lot of accessories for a relatively small price, the 2010 Hyundai Sonata is a great choice for consumers who need a family sedan. In '09 the model was entirely revamped, having been given a much need quality upgrade on the interior. Outside the body is relatively modest yet still looks like it deserves to be in the 21st century. The Sonata is a sleeper car where consumers won't notice exactly what it offers until they get and drive one. Having a great range of accessories and trim packages, consumers have a lot of choices to make at the car lot.

As mentioned before the interior quality of construction and materials has been greatly improved in recent years. The vehicle is more closely related to a luxury vehicle on the inside than most competitors. The plethora of available options make this an ideal vehicle, especially when comparing basic models with those of competitors. For virtually the same price as another manufacturers basic model, you can get what seems like a fully loaded vehicle from Hyundai.

Trim packages available include the CLS, SE and Limited Editions. Basic GLS models have remote keyless entry, AC, cruise control, heated mirrors, comfortable seats, 60/40 rear seats, leather steering wheels and shift knobs. For an additional price consumers can get accessory controls on the steering, Bluetooth, sunroofs, and wood grain accents. For a basic model there is a whole lot the Hyundai is offering for the 22010 Hyundai Sonata. Nearly more accessories are available on this base model than some mid-level packages offered by competitors.

Se models have 17 inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, rear spoiler, sport suspension, telescoping steering wheels, chrome interior and exterior accents, tech ports, and an optional 6 CD changer. Limited Edition models have basically the same features as the SE equipped models, with just a few extras. Standard features include auto dimming mirrors, dual zone climate controls, and an excellent stereo systems. There are many other options that consumers can choose from on most models to customize the vehicle to their own preferences.

For engines the 2010 Hyundai Sonata comes with a 2.4 liter four cylinder that gives out 175 horsepower and 168 foot pounds of torque. The other engine offered is 3.3 liter V-6 engine that gives 249 horsepower. The smaller engine gets 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Models equipped with the larger engine get a fuel economy of 19 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. The overall fuel economy is relatively decent and comparable to most competitors in the family sedan market, if not slightly better than some.

Standard safety features for these cars include antilock brakes, front airbags, side airbags, and full curtain airbags, and head restraints. For frontal impact crash tests the 2010 Hyundai Sonata scored perfect. Side impact crash tests were rated perfect as well. The braking capabilities are what makes this one of the safest vehicles. Both engines on any model were brought to a complete stop from 60 mpg in 126 feet.

There are a lot of good things to be said about the 2010 Hyundai Sonata. perhaps the most noticeable feature is how many interior options consumers will receive for the price that they pay. Engine performance is another area that these vehicles excel. Models equipped with the 3.3 liter V-6 are more than adequately powered, and may lead consumers to feel like they are driving a sports car, rather than a family sedan. Ride quality and overall passenger comfort makes this one of the best all around vehicles in the class, and the price tag only further solidifies that notion.
